National Agreement for Care
Caring is a right.
Care is a fundamental dimension for the well-being and development of every society. However, in Argentina, the social organization of care is going through a critical situation. The dismantling of 48 of the 50 public policies related to care deepens existing inequalities and once again shifts a large part of the responsibilities onto families — and disproportionately onto women.
At Fundación Encuentro we understand that caring is a right and that guaranteeing it requires sustained public policies, social co-responsibility and the participation of all sectors. That is why we are joining the commitment to a National Agreement for Care, together with more than 250 organizations from across the country, to promote a common agenda that strengthens and expands care policies.Faced with current challenges, we reaffirm our commitment to collective construction, collaboration between organizations, and a society in which the right to care and to be cared for is a reality for all people.
Caring is a collective responsibility. Building the conditions to make it possible is too.
